2021.10.24 07:12 Green-Bluebird4308 Breath of the Wild is hardest 3d Zelda

I've seen some people claim that it's easiest. That's bull. How was your first playthrough? You must've died multiple times.
The logic of these people is baffling. They say the game gets really easy once you've upgraded your equipment and have a good collection of strong weapons.
However, isn't that the goddamn point? If the game would get harder everytime you upgrade, then what's the point of upgrading at all! It's the same thing in rpgs. Once you get more level, you get stronger.
Besides, the game still has hardest normal enemies of any Zelda game. You can't defeat lynels or guardians with the equipment you have in the beginning, unless you're some insane speedrunner who've played the game 5000 hours.
In the Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time, you're constantly getting hearts from grass and rupees you don't even need. WW and TP especially are insulting easy even in the very first playthrough. I never once died in those games, while in BotW I must've died tens of times either by falling from a mountain, getting wrecked by a lynel or a guardian with bad equipment, etc.
The bottom line is, you can't say BotW is the easiest 3d Zelda. It's by far the hardest.

2021.10.24 07:12 somenumbguy Idk what's happening to me, is this a panic attack or something else?

A little background info: I (M26) have had issues with anxiety before. It usually manifests itself as procrastination because I have an irrational fear that something will go wrong if I actively choose to do a thing. Examples of this are putting off opening mail until I literally can't put it off any longer, not doing my laundry until I've literally nothing to wear, not cleaning my apartment unless someone's coming over, etc. I've gotten better but that's what I'm dealing with sometimes still.
Now on to the reason for this post. I was in the kitchen making myself some lunch when my doorbell suddenly rang – and I froze. I hadn't made plans with anyone so I haven't cleaned my apartment at all – which currently looks like a mess – so I didn't want to open the door. I figured that they'd ring the doorbell once or twice and then leave but they rang it probably four more times, knocking on the door a couple times as well. That was 20 minutes ago and I haven't moved. My heart is beating out of my chest, I'm sweating and I can't bring myself to move an inch.
Idk if this is a panic attack or something else, all I know is that I've never experienced this before. If anyone's able to offer some thoughts and insights that would be great. Thanks in advance!

2021.10.24 07:12 Professional_Still15 Got a job in automation that is perfect for me. Hurray!

Hi! I posted on here a while ago asking for advice on how to make my github more professional looking, and got tons of great advice and things to consider from this great community. Thank you :)
Despite not having a university degree (dropped out of my final year of a maths degree because of covid financial instability stuff), or work experience, I have just accepted an offer to work for a small company in the automation space. I will be writing and testing code on robots for various automation purposes, as part of a small team.
I think more than my github or projects, it was the interview that got me the job. He didnt look at my github and only glanced at my LinkedIn projects. During the interview, I got quite enthusaistic when the topic of graph theory and how its applied to their projects came up and we spoke about that for a while. I dont know what else gave him the impression i would be a good fit.. But he sent me an offer the next day. I deliberated and I have just accepted.
No reason for this post other than to say i am happy and Ive been working my GODAM ASS off for a few years and now Im on to the next step in this journey.
Love you all <3

2021.10.24 07:12 84rckstr48 Whiteout highlighted text in chrome?

Hi there, I'm in school at the moment, and often study information in webpages. To test myself I sometimes block certain text with my hand or scrolling and quiz myself. I had an idea: is there any way to highlight text in chrome, and have the background a filled color to block out the text? I would use that instead to block out text for quizzing. Just an idea, if theres something like that let me know!

2021.10.24 07:12 deepfield67 [Spoiler] Gabe's First Key

What happens to the first key that Gabe/Dodge and Eden make at the beginning of the season?! The one that melts the fisherman?! There's presumably still a key out there that looks identical to the Slave Key (or whatever the official name is) that melts people. It's not what he intended but it's still and extremely dangerous item just floating around the world now. Maybe Eden will find it in season 3? Sorry if this has already been discussed. I searched a bit but couldn't come up with a specific enough way to search that gave me any results concerning that exact key...

2021.10.24 07:12 jordanparki7 KS5 Chemistry Wider Reading

If you are interested in taking a Chemistry-related course at University, it's encouraged to also partake in wider reading of the subject you wish to go into. :) I've assembled a collection of books/science journals and found the absolute cheapest price on Amazon if you wanna read them. This is also useful if you are undecided on where you would like to go in the future: now is your chance to have a look what the subject area is like!
Have a look at the Wider Reading Collection! << Click Here!
(In the past, I've read Bad Science and it's really good :D Would defo recommend!)
If anyone has any recommendations for books, whether that be Chemistry related, or related to another subject - please do reply/message me and I'll be sure to share them! :D

2021.10.24 07:12 Tramelo I believe that learning many easy pieces is much better than learning a few hard pieces

I just think it makes you a better and more functional musician.
First of all, your sight-reading will improve and it will shorten the time you take to learn new pieces. This was even confirmed by a professor of mine during a sight-reading class.
You'll be able to play them good, more musically and focus on nuances.
You'll actually have a wide repertoire of pieces to play, you will be able to demonstrate that you can play the piano.
You are more exposed to different types of music.
You are more likely to play in public with less fear and stress.
On the contrary, learning hard pieces will become very frustrating after a while, because you're constantly listening to the same stuff over and over.
It can make you believe you're not good enough.
Sometimes it can lead to injury.
You will skip on some musical aspects because you are too focused on doing the right notes.
Your musicality will revolve only around that one piece. You think you can play the piano but in reality you can just play that one piece, and not even that well.
Playing in public will be harder.
I just don't think learning virtuosistic pieces is worth it. Yes you can study them, both for fun or for learning some technical aspects, but I would spend most of my time learning easy pieces, and I would certainly not play virtuosistic pieces in public, unless you really want to be a concert pianist.
I made the mistake of studying Liszt Sonata and Scriabin Sonata 8 for my exam, which were two of my dream pieces (now I don't care about them anymore, lol) and I experienced all the cons I listed (minus the injury).
Now, if I could go back in time, I would have picked a Schubert or Beethoven Sonata instead and some Scriabin Preludes.
Sometimes I think back to all the time and effort I spent into learning super difficult pieces that nobody cares about, and I think how many beautiful and easy pieces I could have learned instead. And should they be considered of less value just because they are easier to play?
For instance, I play in a band, and every week we will have a couple new pieces, simply because they are way easier than classical music. Because of this, preparing a repertoire won't take much, and we'll be able to do many gigs and have fun.
I don't see why it should be different with classical music.
