Hey UCSD fellas
I'm basically done with the school and I'm eligible to graduate, so I'm looking for some fun classes to take without stress for next quarter just to kill some time. Is there any recommendation?

2021.12.04 00:43 ThePhunPhysicist Magic Item Prices

I know magic item shops aren't for everyone, but many people have them in their campaigns. While running my campaigns I often have a hard time coming up with costs for magic items while my players are window shopping at the local enchanter's, and we all know 5e doesn't give much guidance in this regard, so I decided to start working on a spreadsheet to help me, and hopefully others, out. It's still a work in progress and any critiques are appreciated.
Link: Weapon Cost Estimator V1.0
I decided to start with magic weapons. It seemed to me the simplest way to do this was to take the base cost of a weapon, as provided in the PHB, and multiplier it by a modifier based on its magical properties. In the link, I used it to work out a cost for a flame tongue longsword. My first crack at this gave me a cost of 3813 gold pieces for it. I've seen some loose guidance somewhere, can't recall where, saying rare items should cost around 5000 gold, so I'm a little under that estimate. I plan on further refining it to hopefully get a better estimate, as well as adding more options for possible magical effects to account for when pricing official and homebrew content.
Let me know if this is a tool people have a need for, and any feedback you might have. Hope this has been helpful to someone!

2021.12.04 00:43 Jaxiusmusic [Question] what is the best way to go about offering my royalty free no copyright music services to this awesome community?

I dont want to break any rules and do something I'm not supposed to do. Basically I create all original music completely free to use and I post new music weekly. I focus lately on synthwave and some variations of it. But I also make many other varieties like lofi and horrospooky ambient background stuff. I also make Intro's and Outro's so I'm just curious on the best method to offer service without infringing on the rules and common courtesy?

2021.12.04 00:43 thowaway66669420 I [21F] am in an undefined relationship with a guy [23M] and im not sure if i should ask to define it.

A little over two months ago I started talking to a guy I met on Tinder. We hit it off really well. We both agree that we have really good chemistry personality wise, and that we enjoy spending time with each other.
A few weeks ago he asked me what my intentions were since we hadn’t done anything but make out. I told him that I was not sure if he wanted to do more so I was worried about initiating. This was our first real talk. During this talk I asked him if he saw me as someone who could be his girlfriend, and he said that that was something he wanted to work towards. Since then we worked out our sexual boundaries, and have been having sex, as well as just being a bit more open, and comfortable with one another.
We’ve met each others friends. I have met his parents, and I know that he has talked about me to them. I also spend at least 24 hours with him a week. Where i get lost is whether or not I should initiate the conversation again, or just ask for clarification of where he sees things. I don’t want to scare him off or be too pushy. I am going to visit my parents soon, and I have no idea if I should even up, and if I do what I should be calling him. He’s not a friend but he’s not my boyfriend either.
TL;DR I have been talking to a guy for over two months. We know each others friends, I know his parents, we spend at least 24 hours a week together. We have sex, and have talked about how we have good chemistry. I briefly mentioned something about defining the relationship, and he basically told me that he could see that happening at some point. I don’t know what to call him, and I want to know where we stand, but is it too soon to ask again?

It comes with the original packaging and charger, and includes a Zugu case clone from ESR.

2021.12.04 00:43 phnx0023 Can we stop comparing B4B to the L4D franchise?

Dunno if this is a repost.
I'm tired of reading comparisons to L4D and L4D2. This is an entirely different game.
Retch != Boomer Stalker != Hunter Etc.
Sure, some mechanics are similar and the play style is similar, but this isn't L4D3. If that's what you thought this was, sorry to disappoint.
Comments with comparisons aren't helping anything and it certainly isn't going to magically transform this game into L4D3. TRS has a gameplan that they have shown they're going to stick pretty closely to. Plenty of things to fix. Plenty of things work really well. Still not ever going to be L4D3.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

2021.12.04 00:43 Fantastic-Mobile-851 WILL THERE BE A PARTIAL RAPTURE?

There are some believers who hold that only faithful Christians will be taken in the rapture, with unfaithful Christians being left on earth to suffer through the tribulation. The problem is that the Bible does not support such a concept. The passages which describe the rapture (1st Corinthians 15:50-57, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). Definitely seem to apply universally to all Christians, mature and immature, faithful and disobedient.Versus like Romans 8:1 an 1st Thessalonians 5:9 tells us that God does not pour out His wrath on Christians. There is no biblical evidence whatsoever for a partial rapture. Every believer will be taken to heaven in the rapture.
Jesus parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25: 1-13 has been for some the proof of a partial rapture. However, the five virgins whose lamps did not have any oil are not symbolic of believers being left behind; rather, it is describing unbelievers being left behind. The key is verse 12 where Jesus says to those left behind, "truly I say to you, I do not know you."those who Jesus knows are believers in Him, weather vigilant or not. The essential element in the parable is the oil in the lamps, oil being symbolic of the Holy Spirit. Those who have the Holy Spirit living in their hearts will be taken in the rapture because they are truly Christians. Those who profess faith in Christ, but do not possess His Spirit, will be left behind.
The lesson for us is to be ready because Christ is coming again for His own, but He will come as a thief in the night (1 Thessalonians 5:4) suddenly, unexpected and unannounced. Only those whose lamps (hearts) contain the oil (Holy Spirit) will be taken. The rest, regardless of their professions, will be left behind. Jesus knows His own, and when He calls us, we will respond. To the rest He will say, "I never knew you". Today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). And if there are any who don't know the Savior, they dare not delay another moment.
