As of the elahn strawman poll ltc and bch pipelines have converged. So this morning I shot a video of how dangerous this is by simply causing a bch crash. Dm if you want the video.
I'm still hesitant as to upload it publicly. I've been figuring it'd about time we just go forward with our mission of transparency.

I’ve just been lying here in bed trying to relax but I can’y because of this persistent low-frequency, bass-y sounding humming noise. Looked it up and found this very interesting wikipedia article about the phenomenon. I do have tinnitus, could be that. But I can hear it outside my window.
Anyone else ever hear something like this? It’s driving me nuts.

2021.12.04 02:35 jdawg1018 [spoilers ep9] Silco and Jinx

The one theme that really ties the story of Arcane together beautifully is duality, especially when it comes to the overall character arcs of Jinx and Silco. Silco is a man who has fought every day of his life to achieve his goal of creating a free nation, and in his pursuit to free his people he forsakes his own morality. He begins to believe that the only way to make a difference is by "stopping at nothing" as he later states to find what you're looking for. He and his brother, Vander work together at first to try to stop Piltover from oppressing the underground, and unite the people of the Lanes to create the nation of Zaun. But Vander sees where this path of revolution and such change leads, and he realizes that the cost is too great. Silco still carries on with his plans, too devoted now to the idea of leading a nation to stop and think about the harm and destruction he is bringing to his people. Vander finds himself in his family, and grows to hate the violent man he once was. In an effort to stop Silco from his destructive path that is leading further and further away from their once happy dream and more towards the scum and villainy of the Underground, Vander confronts Silco, and realizing that his brother won't be deterred by his pleas or threats, he tries to kill him. He thrusts Silco into the toxic river water in the most dramatic betrayal of all, and tries to drown the only brother he ever had. Silco is broken by this act of ultimate betrayal, and considers giving up for a moment; letting the water take him so he can be at peace. But the anger of his brother's betrayal simmers within him, and the rage soon takes the place of that depressing resignation, driving him to "kill" the man he had once been. Silco is forged into steel in that river, that place where he takes his brother's knife and fights back against his own family with newfound strength. Vander's betrayal truly hardens him; after that he no longer trusts anyone with his heart and crafts an image of unpredictability and fear for himself so that no one can question him without facing his terrible wrath. This reputation is solidified with the creation of Shimmer, which he uses to intimidate his enemies both topside and underground into submission.
Meanwhile, Powder is just a small girl who lost both parents at an incredibly young age and struggles to find her own usefulness in her family unit. Her own brothers doubt her at every decision she makes, and say that she brings bad luck on all of them. Vander cares for her, but he has so much responsibility looking after the rest of the Underground that he doesn't give her the attention or validation she needs. Her sister Violet is the only one she can open up to completely and show her that she is someone to be truly valued, cherished, loved. At her moments of greatest fear and doubt, Violet is always there to comfort her and tell her that she is special in her own unique way. Powder is highly intelligent, even genius, but in a quiet, non-intrusive way that causes many to overlook her. Then, her sister invites Powder to join her and their brothers on a heist in Piltover where she discovers the blue crystals that end up changing everything. She realizes that they can be used to craft bombs, which is her speciality, so she begins to construct a way to use them to help her siblings on future missions. But everything soon goes south for poor Powder, because Vander is kidnapped by Silco and Vi takes her brothers to rescue him, leaving her little sister behind. Vi does it out of the best of intentions, because she can't bear to see Powder get hurt. However, from Powder's perspective, her sister has lost faith in her abilities and no longer sees as being useful or even valuable to the family. Everyone has abandoned her, and the only way she feels she can make them accept her is by using the bomb she made out of the crystals to help them escape Silco's trap. She arrives just as Vander, Violet and their brothers are able to find a way out, and she sets off the bomb. She finally showed them that she could give them the aid she thought they needed, but fails to realize the destruction she has just caused. Her brothers die brutally because of what she did, and Vander dies shortly after in consequence of that decision. Powder and Violet are the only ones left, and to her horror, Powder realizes too late that she just drove away the one person who would always support her no matter what. Though Violet doesn't intend to abandon her, she never comes back, and from Powder's perspective she reasonably sees that as the ultimate act of betrayal.
And that's when Silco comes in. He sees this sobbing little girl lying surrounded by the flames of her own destruction, and in her tear-filled eyes he sees a reflection of himself. He comes to the awareness at that moment that Powder (now Jinx at that point) is suffering from the same sense of betrayal and loss that he had felt once so deeply. In an unexpected but moving display of sympathetic compassion, he embraces Jinx and adopts her as his own child. He raises her and teaches her to show no mercy to her enemies, educating her on the same lessons he had learned while rising to his position of power in the Underground. Not exactly the most wholesome or healthy relationship, because he does manipulate Jinx at certain points to sharpen her anger and weaponize her emotions so she can become a terrifying, unpredictable element in his continuing play at dominance over Top-side. To his credit, however, he listens to her intently and seeks to find her source of strength so she doesn't have to suffer as much fear and doubt as she did as a child. His goal is still to create the nation of Zaun, but his love of Jinx grows within him until it comes to overshadow almost everything else in his mind. When Silco's own men question Jinx's value time and time in their group, he defends her with unwavering conviction. He even takes her to the place where Vander had once tried to drown him and shows her how he had to destroy his old self to become the implacable man he was now; giving her the chance to do the same, and destroy Powder to truly become Jinx. He calls Jinx perfect, which is something not even Violet, her own sister, can do. He is the only person who can accept Jinx for who she is, even with all her faults and misgivings. Silco is eventually given the chance to have his dream and all the benefits that come with it, but he has to give up Jinx in exchange. When Jinx, Violet and Silco have their explosive confrontation, Silco fights for Jinx, and persistently tells her that she's enough for him, while Violet desperately tries to bring back Powder and can't accept that the sister she had known is long gone. When Silco is shot by Jinx, with his dying breath he tells her then that he wouldn't have traded her for anything, not even his life-long dream of the independent nation of Zaun, and says again that Jinx is perfect. His final act of love is what finally pushes Jinx to her full potential, and fully destroy Powder, the girl she once was.

2021.12.04 02:35 fpsinvasion Painless Bump in Buttcrack

Hey Docs of Reddit, I currently have a minor bump in my Buttcrack, it is not painful and is in the middle of my Buttcrack (not near the tailbone) It doesn’t necessarily itch and isn’t painful or very noticeable most of the time but is just annoying and I am wondering if any of you would know? It feels like a small piece of poop stuck in my Buttcrack whenever I wipe.
For context I am a healthy 20 year old male for the most part my diet could use a little work but I am a very healthy weight and workout regularly, I also just got over a recent bout of eczema flare ups.

2021.12.04 02:35 CaroLeitz Demonic woman in white?

This happened a few nights ago and I’m still really spooked. First, a little background. My roommate and I just moved into an apartment complex that was built in the 70s. I feel like this might somehow be relevant, with it being older buildings and all. I also wanted to preface this by saying that I’ve been known to hallucinate at night. It usually only happens when I’m in a manic episode (I have Bipolar I), but it can happen other times too.
That being said, I usually only hallucinate bugs and sounds. This is the first time I’ve seen a person. Basically, I was in a deep sleep when I woke up with a visceral feeling of dread and terror. I opened my eyes and saw an elderly woman standing by my bed.
She was wearing a white nightgown and her skin was an iridescent white. Her face was horribly deformed with empty black eye sockets that stretched down her cheeks and her mouth was a gaping hole. She seemed to be floating. I had no perception of time- she could have been there for a few seconds or a few minutes.
I gasped and then she disappeared. It took me about 45 minutes to calm down enough to go back to sleep. I haven’t seen her since but I kind of want to do a sage cleanse if she’s an evil spirit. Was she just another hallucination or an actual ghost/spirit?

2021.12.04 02:35 kamikazeuser Question to Indian Atheists about Muslim-Atheist Solidarity and beyond.

India, in the last 7 years has seen a lot of intolerance by Hindu radicals.
Quite often, the media glare on the victims has been restricted to Muslims and Christians only. However, one of the most persecuted groups, the Atheists, have been completely neglected in the run up.
Atheists face a double whammy from all the sides, on one side they are hated by the Society for rejecting Hinduism, and on the other side since they are not bound by Dogmatic Hindutva beliefs, they tend to espouse for the rights of minorities (Muslims and Christians) and get an added hatred from the government as well.
Persecution of Atheists, unlike that of Muslims, is literally undocumented. Atheists in India suffer silently. While Muslims get their sufferings documented, atheists are cared for by no one.
As a fellow oppressed community, my heart goes out for the Atheists. In Saudi Arabia, Atheists are persecuted for being atheists by Muslim fundamentalists. In India, Hindutva fundamentalists persecute Atheists through innovative means -

  1. Muslims alongside Atheists are the only 2 large groups excluded in the CAA. This is unprecedented and even Muslim countries which are conservative do not do this. Apostasy is legal in a state like UAE which applies Shariat. The only 4 states which give citizenship based on religion are Mauritania, Maldives, Israel and KSA. India joins the infamy thanks to the Modi government.
  2. Loud mouthed Atheists in Central India are allegedly killed in extra judicial means.
  3. Politically inclined Atheist parties are persecuted after elections in India. Tripura saw a wave of violence against the Atheist party after the Hindutva party won elections. Their cadres were beaten, party offices ransacked and furniture destroyed.
  4. Socially inclined atheists such as Harsh Mander are hounded by this government. So much so, that he has publicly said that he will identify as a Muslim in the NPR exercise.
In the light of this, it only makes sense for the oppressed groups to find common cause, electorally and socially as well. History is witness to the fact that Indian atheists have been warm in regards to the Indian Muslim community. The following examples will suffice -
  1. Thanthai Periyar went on record to say that the only way Dravidian society can be saved was if Dravidians convert to Islam. As an atheist, he did not believe in a God, however he was aware that a majority of the folks need religion and if there was any religion which stood for social justice, progressiveness and equality, it was Islam
  2. Mahatma Phule, a genius in his own right, an agnostic and the icon to which Babasaheb looked up to, wrote a Naat to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and considered him as the foremost revolutionary and saw in him the inspiration to uproot the Hindu caste system.
  3. MN Roy, the founding member of the Indian Communist Party was in awe of Islam's contribution to India. He maintained that Islamic rule was a net positive to India and was ambivalent towards Hindu kingdoms.
  4. The First Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, saw in Indian Islamic history a great deal of inspiration. In fact, despite Hindutva pressure, he opined not to touch the Muslim personal laws but went ahead in reforming the archaic Hindu Personal laws, showing that the most prominent atheist of India, indeed saw Islamic personal laws as the most progressive of all the religious laws and therefore saw no need in reforming them.
This tradition of appreciation of the contribution of Islam in India, Islamic Culture, Islamic history and of Indian Muslims by Atheists continues even till this date. Prominent Indian Atheists of today, have come out in support of the battered Muslim community facing hostility in India. Three of the most prominent atheists in India showed their way in showing it to the bigoted Hindu nationalists that despite their attempts, Atheists and Muslims will continue fighting the menace of Hindutva throughout the world -
  1. India's most celebrated Atheist Javed Akhtar defended Islam in the aftermath of 26/11 and refuted Hindutva lies of Islam being a religion of violence by asserting that Islam stands for peace.
  1. Umar Khalid, one of the most prominent young Indian Atheist, defended the honour of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and countered the Hindutva narration of him being a blood thirsty maniac by tweeting the virtues of Prophet Muhammad as a man, as a gem by whom, all Folks, Muslim and non Muslim should be inspired.
Note - It should be noted while Hindutva fascists say that Atheists are at danger at the hands of Muslim fundamentalists in India, Umar Khalid was being jailed by the Rabid Hindutva government and the one rooting for his defense was the GENERAL SECRETARY OF THE WELFARE PARTY OF INDIA, A prominent member of Jamaat e Islami and Ex SIMI Member. So strong is the Atheist - Muslim bond in India.
  1. Atheist Chief Minister Pinayari Vijayan inducts former IUML and SIMI Minister as the education Minister of Kerala ( and allies with prominent Muslim social rights activist Madani (
This Atheist Muslim Brotherhood goes beyond Individuals in India.
  1. Atheists prominently participated in the CAA NRC protests in India.
  2. Indian Atheist parties have been in coalition with IUML.
  3. Indian Atheist parties have been in coalition with SDPI
  4. Indian Atheist parties have been in coalition with PDP.
Muslim and Atheists have a shared set of grievances, fears and shared set of discriminations. I want to thank all my Indian Atheist brothers from the bottom of my heart for this solidarity. In these troubled times, this solidarity resonates a lot. Long live Atheist Muslim solidarity !
